Board Member

Kim Williams
President & Volunteer Chair

Kim Williams is a founding board member and President of the Snow Sports Museum of West Virginia.  He is originally from Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, and studied at the University of Virginia.  After college, Kim and the love of his life Monica, moved to Culpeper, VA.  Kim worked for 40 years as a public-school teacher and Subject Area Supervisor.  He and Monica retired a few years ago and now call Canaan Valley, WV home.

While working for Culpeper County Schools, Kim & Monica discovered skiing in West Virginia.  They began their part-time careers as ski instructors at Snowshoe Mountain Resort.  Later, they joined the team at Timberline Four Seasons Resort and Canaan Valley Resort.  When not working hard with the Snow Sports Museum of WV, they split their time ski instructing at Timberline Mountain and Canaan Valley Resort.  Kim & Monica are also instructors for the Ski Club of Washington, DC.

Kim is a PSIA Level II Certified Alpine Instructor, an Easter Resort Trainer, and Child Specialist 1.  He also volunteered countless hours with both the Snowshoe and Timberline-Canaan Junior Race Teams.
