Hall of Fame
Help us Recognize and Honor
the 5th Class of Inductees!
*Nominees should have a demonstrated long-term commitment (25 years)
with statewide influence in the industry
The Hall of Fame (HOF) is an essential part of the museum's mission to recognize those who worked hard to establish West Virginia snow sports from the beginning in 1951 on Cabin Mountain in the Canaan Valley until modern-day at snow sport locations such as Snowshoe, Winterplace, Oglebay, Canaan Valley Resort, White Grass, and Timberline Mountain. The HOF will also recognize those who created, operated, and worked at those "lost" ski areas of the past.
The Snow Sports Museum of West Virginia is seeking nominations for individuals who deserve to be recognized. We ask that nominations follow the guidelines below.
-
You can submit the form electronically with documentation of the individual's snow sports biography.
-
You can also download and print the nomination form and then mail it along with supporting documentation.
-
The Deadline for the class of 2023 is December 1, 2024.
-
The HOF committee will submit recommendations of inductees to the Snow Sports Museum's Board of Directors for final consideration at its regular November meeting.
-
Those selected for the class of 2023 or the family of those being recognized posthumously will be notified later in December.
-
There will be a recognition ceremony or banquet in June 2025.
