Professional Snowboarder and Competitor
Robert (Bobby) Minghini
Early Life and Snowboarding Beginnings
Bobby Minghini was born and raised in West Virginia, where he grew up shredding Snowshoe Mountain Resort from an early age. Bobby’s parents introduced him to skiing when he was just 18 months old. At the age of five, when the resort raised the starting age for the ski team, his mother bought him a snowboard instead. He loved it from the first day, and snowboarding became his life’s passion.
Rise in Competitive Snowboarding
Bobby competed in all five disciplines in the USASA but eventually found his true calling in SBX (Snowboard Cross). As his passion for snowboarding grew, so did his success. He started qualifying for larger competitions like the USASA Nationals and turned professional at age 15, competing in USSA and FIS events.
